Role Summary; The Primary role for this position is handling all Special Cases in the assigned region and specifically drive the company to the achievements of its primary objectives ensuring a diverse based approaches in realizing asset risk operations in line with WATU Asset Risk policy.

Key Duties and Responsibilities;

• Monitoring and controlling of assigned Asset Risk Portfolio and ensure that our bikes are safely and quickly rescued from third parties such as police, local authorities etc.
• Liaise with the Asset Risk Manager/line Supervisor to identify fraudulent cases and follow them up and resolve cases in a timelier and professional manner.
• Investigate and identify cases that are unrecoverable and present them to Asset Risk Manager/line supervisor for further case management.
• Quick and timely response of recovering of stolen assets, Emergency Cases/Client Rider Cases is desired with proper consultations and follow up made. Comprehensive reporting of single case when attended.
• Investigate and recover assigned missing/stolen/lost Assets/devices and return them to Branches/office in line with the Asset Risk policy.
• Liaise with different law enforcement agents to ensure that External fraudsters are apprehended and our bikes are recovered.
• Submit daily, weekly and monthly Asset Risk reports to the Asset Risk Manager/line supervisor on your individual performance trend.
• Maintaining records and providing daily feedback on outcome of assignments the Asset Risk Manager/Head of Department.
• Providing training and sharing knowledge with new employees/Interns/Trainees employed by the company
• Any other duty as may be assigned by the supervisor/management.

• The Ideal candidate must be a holder of a Bachelor’s degree/ Diploma in Microfinance or any related field with knowledge and relevant work experience of not less than at least 1–2 years’ experience in Asset recovery, Debt collection, Field investigations, Security or risk management
• Strong investigation and tracking skills by using GPS tracking systems and recovery tools
• Knowledge of asset recovery procedures and legal requirements
• Ability to gather, analyze, and document evidence
• Good negotiation and conflict-management skills
• Strong report-writing and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and under pressure
• High level of integrity and professionalism
• Experience handling motorcycle or mobile device recoveries is an added advantage
• Basic computer skills (MS Office, google sheets, reporting systems, ERPs)
• Understanding of relevant laws governing asset recovery and repossession
• Ability to work with law enforcement agencies
• Must have a clean criminal record
• Willingness to comply with company policies and ethical standards
• Must be able to ride well a motorcycle and must possess a valid riding permit class A
